Coleman’s eagle leads Ashley’s to semifinals

Len Coleman eagled the last hole and John Mulhern made birdie to lead Ashley Machine from a two-stroke deficit to a one-stroke victory over Old State Roaders by beating State 2 -1 and advancing them to the next round of the Emanon Golf League Playoffs.

Coleman and Mulhern both had one-under-par 33 to lead the A team for Ashleys. Bill Tighe (36) and Joe Hughes (38) led State Road. Joe Colangelo (40) and Sean Fortney (41) led State Road B team and Joe Graham (40) and Alex Brogna (42) finished up for Ashleys.

Tom Kerrigan birded three out of his first holes and shot one-under-par to lead O’Connor Plumbing to a 3-0 victory over Bryans Construction to advance to the semifinals. Jack Mayer had 38 for O’Connors and Tom Bryan Jr. (39) and Pat Fiscus (44) led Bryans A team. Sean Kerrigan’s 36 and Bob Keen’s 42 was just enough to edge out Tom Bryan Sr. (39) and Gary Rosencrans (40) to a one-stroke win.

The semifinals will be held Thursday at 4:45 p.m. No. 1 seed Red Mill will face O’Connor Plumbing. Selenskis and Ashley Machine make up the other semifinal.
