RAYMOND SAUER

    Raymond J. Sauer, 80, of South Franklin Street in Wilkes-Barre died
Thursday at Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-BarreBorn March 8, 1918, in Wilkes-Barre,
he was a son of the late Frederick and Mary (Miller) Sauer.
   
He was educated in Wilkes-Barre public schools and was a lifelong resident
of the city.
   
Before retiring, he was employed in the maintenance department of the White
Transit Bus Co. in Kingston. He was also formerly employed by First Eastern
Bank in Wilkes-Barre.
   
Throughout his life, he was a volunteer for the State Parks Program of the
Department of Environmental Resources Office of Parks and Forestry.
   
He was preceded in death by his brother, Frederick Sauer.
   
Surviving are his wife, the former Helen Kordis, with whom he celebrated
their 56th wedding anniversary last January; son, Paul Sauer, and daughter,
Sharon Kline, both of Wilkes-Barre; and four grandchildren.
   
Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
   
There will be no calling hours.
   
Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 71 N.
Franklin St., Wilkes-Barre, 18701.
   
Funeral arrangements are by the Simon S. Russin Funeral Home Inc., 136
Maffett St., Plains Township.—–
