Getting a deal

1. Shop around. Although a company’s rate plans are virtually the same
whether you shop at a company store or an authorized dealer, phone choices and
prices and specials might differ2. Ask questions. Ask the same questions
again. Keep asking questions until you are certain you have been given the
correct information.
For example: I was given conflicting information about rates and billing
from a dealer and a company representative.

3. Read the contract carefully. Don’t sign anything you don’t understand.
Canceling a plan once you’ve signed up is an expensive decision.

4. Ask about specials. Everyone is offering a deal this summer.

5. Finally, think through how you plan to use wireless phone service. The
plan you choose should match your expected usage.
