Pink Ribbon Ball slated for Oct. 27
   
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Wyoming Valley Unit of
the American Cancer Society will hold its second annual Pink Ribbon Ball at 7
p.m. Oct. 27 at the Woodlands Inn & Resort, Plains Township. The host of this
year’s event will be Valley Open MRI and Diagnostic Center. All proceeds will
benefit breast cancer research as well as local education and patient service

    Little Flower Manor to hold Anniversary Gala
   

   
Invitations have been issued for Little Flower Manor’s 25th Anniversary
Gala to be held on Nov. 3 at the Woodlands Inn & Resort, Plains Township. One
of the highlights of the dinner will be the presentation of Little Flower
Manor’s first Crystal Rose Award. The recipients of this honor are the late
Most Rev. J. Carroll McCormack, and Mr. and Mrs. John D. McCarthy. Guest
speaker for the event will be Judge Peter Paul Olszewski. For more
