Dallas golfer wins two tournament in four days

Logan Paczewski from Dallas won two tournaments in four days, giving him three titles this season in Division II on the Anthracite Junior Golf Association Tour.

Paczewski shot a 35 for nine holes at Emanon Golf Club July 14 for the best score among 25 boys at the event. He shot a 42 at Honesdale Golf Club July 17 to finish first in a 22-player field.

In June at the Scranton Canoe Club, Paczewski shot a 3-over-par, 33 for his first win of the season.

Colin Bowanko made it a one-two finish for Dallas golfers during the tour’s top at Honesdale. Bowanko shot 47 and won a four-way tiebreaker for second.

Division II is for golfers ages 10-14. Division I is for players 15-18.

Alexis Wyandt from Dallas has second- and third-place finishes in Division I events. She shot 89 at Elmhurst Country Club July 14 to finish second and 90 July 1 at Wilkes-Barre Golf Club for third.

Connor Maloney and Amelia Grudkowski from Dallas and Tyler Faux from Falls have also performed well on the tour.

Maloney, Bowanko and Faux all have multiple top-10 finishes in Division II boys. Maloney tied for sixth July 7 at Valley Country Club.

Grudkowski finished second at Emanon and third at Canoe Club and Lehman in Division II girls.

Paczewski was tied for third at Lehman.

The tour conducted its last regular stops this week. Its Tournament of Champions will be held Monday, July 28 at Fox Hill Country Club and Tuesday at Huntsville Golf Club.
