The Dan Beard District of NEPA, Boy Scouts of America, is holding Parent Pal weekends for Cub Scouts throughout the district at Goosepond Boy Scout Reserve and Camp Acahela. Cub Scouts are given the opportunity to camp and have a scouting experience, sharing it with an important adult in their life.

The boys pitch their tents or stay in scouting tents, provided by the camps. They learn outdoor skills such as shooting BB guns, archery bows, blow darts and slingshots. They fish without a pole, learn new games and create pieces of art. They sing and put on skits by the fire and chant ‘repeat after me’s’ in the dining hall.

More information on local Cub Scout and Boy Scout events can be found at www.nepabsa.org.
