WILKES-BARRE – The Geisinger Wyoming Valley Chapter of Children’s Miracle
Network recently played host to the 2002 Miracle Ball at the Westmoreland Club
in Wilkes-Barre.
   
Attendees enjoyed an evening of dinner, dancing to the sounds of Souled Out
and bidding on more than 160 live and silent auction items, including tickets
to Broadway’s “The Producers,” “Regis and Kelly Live,” a Penguins luxury
box and weekend getaways. The event raised more than $25,000 to benefit
pediatric services for ill and injured children treated throughout Geisinger
Health System.
    More than $22 million has been raised during the past 18 years through
Children’s Miracle Network to support pediatric services at the Janet Weis
Children’s Hospital and Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Geisinger
Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre and more than 57 health groups
in a 31-county area.
