CHICKEN BARBEQUE
A chicken barbeque sponsored by the Youth Group at River of Life Fellowship Ministries will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at the church, 22 Outlet Road, Lehman. Take-out orders only will be available.
Donation of $10 will include a half chicken, homemade potato salad, baked beans, roll and butter. For tickets, call Wendy Fritz at 570-301-7940.
MEATLOAF DINNER
A meatloaf dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 17 at the Alderson United Methodist Church, 1201 Lakeside Drive, Harveys Lake.
The menu consists of meatloaf, baked potato, green beans, cole slaw, roll and butter, dessert and beverage. Tickets prices are $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12 years of age and are available at the door. Takeouts will be available.

ELECTION DAY CAFE
Members of Trucksville United Methodist Church will hold an Election Day Café on Tuesday, May 20 at the church, 40 Knob Hill Road.
Beginning at 7 a.m., the menu will include hot and cold beverages; donuts, sticky buns, brownies and cookies; sandwiches, homemade soups and chili; hot dogs and wimpies. A freshly-prepared Lunch-to-Go can be ready in just minutes any time during the day.
The café, which is completely handicap accessible and will remain open until 4 p.m., has plenty of seating with table service if preferred. It will remain open until 4 p.m.
Proceeds will be going towards Mother Teresa’s Haven previously known as V.I.S.I.O.N.
RUMMAGE SALE
The Deacons of the Trinity Presbyterian Church have set May 30 and May 31 for their gigantic rummage sale in the Fellowship Hall, 105 Irem Road, Dallas, across Route 309 from the Country Club Shopping Center.
The sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, May 30 and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 31. Saturday will be bag day: all you can stuff into a large brown grocery bag for only $2.
Items available for sale are clothing in good condition for men, women and children, costume jewelry, household items, knickknacks, collectibles, toys, books, holiday items and more.
