PITTSBURGH (AP) — Investigators say an autopsy is scheduled on the son of a northeastern Pennsylvania judge who was fatally struck by a vehicle in Pittsburgh over the weekend.
Twenty-two-year-old Cody Barrasse, a Penn State University senior, was struck around 2:15 a.m. Saturday in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood. The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office says an autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.
Authorities say the driver of the vehicle initially left the scene, but then called police. The accident remains under investigation.
Penn State spokeswoman Lisa Powers says Barrasse was a senior majoring in finance and was set to graduate next month.
Barrasse is the son of Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Barrasse. A funeral is scheduled for Friday.
