North Abington Township resident Frank Altier, 55, has had many business ventures. His current company, V. and A. Construction, recently replaced a brick wall and completed other improvements at the PennStar Bank on East Grove Street in Clarks Green.

“We specialize in everything for banks,” he said.

The Philadelphia native was instrumental in building the Fashion Mall across from the Viewmont Mall. He also worked on the Crown Beverage building on Northern Boulevard and served as the general contractor for the PennStar Bank in Wilkes- Barre.

As owner of V. and A. Construction Inc., he employs five: his sons Phillip and Alex Altier, Alan and Gene Delichti and William Whengreen.

“I do masonry and all types of construction for both businesses and private home owners. I do not refuse anything. I love to be outside. It beats sitting at a desk,” he said.

Phillip Altier, 22, is a student at Keystone College, and Alex Altier, 19, is a student at Lackawanna College.
