The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce Women’s Network, sponsored by Fidelity Deposit & Discount Bank, kicked off its 20th year on Sept. 18 at the Ramada Inn, Clarks Summit featuring guest speaker, Helen Lavelle.

Lavelle is president and chief creative officer of the Lavelle Strategy Group, a full service advertising, marketing and public relations agency in the Hill Section of Scranton. Lavelle offered insight on how she blazed the trail for women in business in Northeast Pennsylvania. She shared experiences and insight on how she pioneered her advertising, marketing and public relations agency into one of the leading firms in the greater Scranton area. Lavelle offered marketing tips and shared personal stories to illustrate how she sustains and thrives as a woman business owner.

The Women’s Network luncheons are held each month to provide a platform for strong women leading today. Each luncheon includes a dynamic speaker as well as networking and business development opportunities. The cost to attend a luncheon is $20 for Chamber members and $30 for non-members.
