    Joseph “Earl” Seiger, 75, of Wilkes-Barre, died Friday at homeBorn in
Wilkes-Barre, he was son of the late Earl and Sarah Mooney Seiger.
   
He graduated from Coughlin High School in 1940, and served in the U.S. Army
during World War II as a sergeant.
   
He formerly was employed by the Okonite Corp., Wilkes-Barre, the Liner
Corp., Dallas, and before retiring, by Eberhard Faber, Mountaintop.
   
He also was employed in the electrical contracting trade.
   
He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, Wilkes-Barre.
   
He and his wife, the former Catherine McNamee, celebrated their 46th
wedding anniversary last November.
   
He was preceded in death by brothers George, Charles and James; and a
sister, Mary Friel.
   
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Joseph, Trexlertown; Charles,
Wilkes-Barre; James, at home; daughters Catherine Kempf, Wynnewood; Donna
Conklin, Wilkes-Barre; Maureen and Ann Marie, at home; Sharon Santarelli,
Plains Township; ten grandchildren; a brother, John, Wilkes-Barre; a sister,
Elizabeth Thiel, Dover, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday from the Corcoran Funeral
Home, 20 S. Main St., Plains Township, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30
a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, Wilkes-Barre.
   
Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
