Josephine Rusczyk
   
Sept. 2, 1994
    Josephine L. Rusczyk, 82, of Enterprise Street, Nanticoke, died Friday
morning at Wilkes-Barre General HospitalBorn in Alden, she was a daughter of
the late Bartholomew and Apolonia Madaj cq Pierzchala.
   
She moved to Nanticoke in 1936 and attended Nanticoke schools.
   
Rusczyk was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Nanticoke, and its Catholic
Womens Council.
   
Employed by the Duplin Silk Mill and Penn Lee Footware for 20 years, she
retired in 1969.
   
She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1979; brother, Henry and
Edward Pierzchala; sisters, Mary Butchko and Bernadine Vance.
   
Surviving are sons, John J., South Glastonbury, Conn.; Edwin W., Suffield,
Conn.; Albert Bethlehem; daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Joan) Jenner; Turnersville,
N.J.; brother, Chester Pierzchala, Alden; sisters, Mrs. Nicolas (Helen)
Parrella, Exeter; Mrs. Henry (Blanche) Frankevich, Mrs. Anthony (Thea)
Plocicki and Mrs. Joseph (Eleanor) Hudak, all of Pottstown; 11 grandchildren;
two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
   
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Grontkowski Funeral
Home, 51-53 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with a funeral Mass at 9 a.m. in St.
Mary’s Church, Nanticoke.
   
Interment will be in St. Mary’s cemetery, Dorrance.
   
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
   
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday by the Womens Catholic Council
of St. Mary’s Church.
