Saturday , May 10, was a long, busy and productive day for Meals on Wheels of Greater Pittston. On behalf of Meals on Wheels we would like to say thank you to the Letter Carriers for all of their hard work and to the 100+ volunteers from local Churches, Boy Scout Troops, Frontier Girls, Unions, United Way, Verizon Pioneers, Lodges, school groups from Wyoming Area and Pittston Area and family and friends of Meals On Wheels that helped to unload the trucks, unpack the bags and sort the food.

We also want to say thank you to the many businesses in the Pittston Area that donated food to provided lunch for the volunteers and Letter Carriers.

Our shelves were empty at the start of the day are now full and we will be able to continue serving the elderly and home bound in our area.

Thank you to everyone who supported this worthwhile venture.
