Beatrice (Ginsberg) Weber, 94, longtime resident of Kingston, died Friday January 2, 2009.
Mrs. Weber was born and raised in Scranton, a daughter of the late Isadore and Bertha Raider Ginsberg and earned a degree in social work from Marywood College in 1936.
After college, Mrs. Weber relocated to Washington, D.C., where she was employed by the Jewish Welfare Board at the Jewish Community Center as a liaison to the USO. After returning to Pennsylvania and raising her family, she returned to work as a social worker for the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare.
Mrs. Weber was an active member in the Jewish Community. She was a member of Temple Israel, Temple Israel Sisterhood, the Jewish Community Center Leisure Lounge, and a life member of Hadassah.
Mrs. Weber was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was married to her devoted husband, the late Harold Weber, for 37 years, and is survived by her children, Ellen Feder of Dallas, Nancy and Lee Jaslow of Yardley; and by her sister, Shirley Ginsberg of Scranton; devoted grandchildren, David and Michael Feder, Peter (wife, Laura) and Howard Jaslow.
She was preceded in death by her husband and sister, Clara Tepper.

Funeral service will be held today at noon at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel, 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre, with Rabbi Larry Kaplan and Cantor Ahron Abraham officiating. Interment will be in Scranton Jewish Cemetery, Dalton.
Shiva will be observed locally, today 7 to 9 p.m., Monday and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at 136 E. Dorrance St., Kingston. Memorial donations can be sent to Temple Israel or the Jewish Community Center Leisure Lounge. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected]
