Emily Zimmerman, 84, of Hazlet, N.J., passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel, N.J.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, Emily lived in Edwardsville before moving to Hazlet, N.J., 50 years ago. She was a homemaker.
Emily was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas, in 2003; and her parents, Nicholas and Eva Koliga.
She is survived by her sons, Thomas Zimmerman and his wife, Karen, of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Edward Zimmerman of Highlands, N.J.; and two granddaughters Kathryn Zimmerman of Maui, Hawaii, and Laura Zimmerman of Somers Point, N.J. She will be missed also by her feline buddies, Sherlock and Watson.
Relatives and friends are invited from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Pl., Keyport, N.J. Burial is private.
