The Dallas Lions Club held its fourth annual golf tournament at the Newberry Estate Country Club, Dallas. A record 68 golfers hit the links raising $1,165 for the Back Mountain Library. Golf legend, Tom Morris, entertained the guests with golfing trivia. At the check presentation, from left, are: Lion Joe Czarnecki, committee chairman, presenting the club’s check to Martha Butler, library director; Lion Robert Shaffer, Tammy McMahon, president of the library board; “Old Tom Morris,” aka Don Berlew and Mike Messersmith, treasurer of the library board.
