SHICKSHINNY — A Sweet Valley man will go to trial on two charges of
homicide by motor vehicle stemming from a Nov. 20 crash that killed a woman, a
teenage girl and an unborn child.

District Justice John Hasay of Shickshinny found in a preliminary hearing
Thursday that there is enough evidence to send the case against Aaron K.
Yaple, 20, to Luzerne County Court.
Police said Yaple was driving a Plymouth Duster southbound on state Route
4026, near Pritchards Corner, when he collided head-on with a Mazda driven by
Christina V. Vogel, 40, of Sweet Valley.

Vogel was pronounced dead at the scene of the Hunlock Township accident.
One of her passengers, Tiffany Marie VanCamp, 16, of Kingston Township died
the following day. VanCamp was five months pregnant. Her unborn son, later
named Codey Adam by VanCamp’s family, also died.

Yaple also faces charges of reckless and careless driving, driving at safe
cq speeds, driving on the left side of the road and possession of alcohol. He
will not be charged with the death of the unborn child.
