Approximately 100 Veterans march into a full assembly to a standing ovation by the 1,300 high school students during the 2012 Veterans' Day program held at Wyoming Area. Veterans were treated a full Thanksgiving-style meal prior to entering the gymnasium. The same will be happening this year.

Wyoming Area School District will be honoring district Veterans on Veterans’ Day, Monday, Nov. 11 at the Secondary Center, 20 Memorial Street, Exeter.


Nearly 100 Veterans will be treated to a Thanksgiving-style luncheon at noon in the multi-purpose room followed by a full assembly program in the gymnasium.


Prior to the assembly, Veterans march into the gymnasium to patriotic music provided by the Wyoming Area Band Ensemble.


Veterans also receive a certificate of appreciation from the school district for their sacrifice and service.


In an effort to document Veterans’ experiences, Wyoming Area History Club, along with the Warrior Audio Visual Entertainment (WAVE) members will be interviewing Vets beginning at 11 a.m.
