Back Mountain National posted 16 hits en route to a 19-4 victory Thursday over Back Mountain American to win the District 31 10-11 Little League baseball championship.


Ty Federici was the winning pitcher. Kyle Sincavage, Max Paczewski, Luke Spencer, Zach Holthaus, Aiden Conrad all came through with multiple hits.


For Back Mountain American, Cooper Lewis had two hits. Nick Mocito and Jack Luke both hit safely.


DISTRICT 16


SENIOR BASEBALL


Plains 3,


Nanticoke/Hanover 2 (8 inn.)


Winning pitcher Josh Hartley led Plains to a district championship. He also helped out with a double. Driving in an RBI for Plains were Mike Brown, Tyler Kurilla and Andy Lenkofsky.


Lloyd Deno tripled for Nanticoke/Hanover.


DISTRICT 31


9-10 BASEBALL

West Pittston 7 (7 inn.)


In a game played Wednesday, Josh Noone hit a game-winning double in the seventh inning to score Evan Hrominsin. Back Mountain National’s Mike Murray had three hits. Chris Killian and Will Youngman each provided two hits.


West Pittston’s J.J. Hood hit a solo home run.


Kingston/Forty Fort defeated Back Mountain National on Thursday to win the District 31 championship.
