(AP) An 18-year-old man faces a charge of driving under the influence after authorities say he crashed his vehicle into a Las Vegas restaurant’s patio, seriously injuring 10 people.

Jail records show Gage Lindsey is being held in the Clark County jail on suspicion of DUI, reckless driving and leaving the scene of the Monday crash at the Egg & I restaurant.

Ten people were taken to hospitals after Lindsey’s 1993 Lexus veered off the road and into the restaurant’s patio area during lunchtime. A police report shows one victim had a collapsed lung and several people had broken bones after being hit. All are expected to survive.

Witnesses say restaurant patrons caught Lindsey and his passenger as they tried to flee.

Police allege Lindsey admitted to using drugs without a prescription and blacking out before the crash. It wasn’t immediately clear if he has an attorney.
