Cecilia Ohlsson and Jamie Piszak were united in marriage on Friday, June 28, 2013, at Allerum Church (Kyrka) presided by Par Stynberg in Allerum, Sweden.
The bride is the daughter of Edvard and Bodil Ohlsson, Old Greenwich, Conn., and Viken, Sweden. She is the granddaughter of the late Carl and Helga Persson and the late Alan and Emily Ohlsson.
The groom is the son of John and Donna Piszak, Wyoming, Pa. He is the grandson of the late John and Julia Piszak and the late Daniel and Jacqueline Kubicki, all of Brooklyn , N.Y.
A bridal shower, held in the home of Ally Myerberg, Old Greenwich, Conn., was hosted by friends, Ally, Kristan Zimmerman, Doris Sisley and Amanda Simerman.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at Barbord Restarang, Viken, Sweden.
The bride was given in marriage by her father, Edvard. She chose her sister, Linda Whitridge, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Soniamarie Buckley, Donna Corrigan and Elizabeth Lawrence, friends of the bride. Flower girls were Ella and Anna Whitridge, nieces of the bride, and Caitlyn Wagner, niece of the groom.
The groom chose his father, John, to be his best man. Groomsmen were Justin Wagner and Rob Yashinski, brothers-in-law of the groom.
David Kuriakose, Amanda Simerman and Tracy Wagner recited the readings.
The mothers of the bride and broom recited the Celtic Prayer “Tying-the-Knot” while joining their children’s hands.
Following the ceremony, an evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Grand Hotel, Molle, Sweden.
The bride’s parents hosted a wedding brunch the following morning at the Grand Hotel for the guests.
The happy couple spent their honeymoon touring Ireland.
Returning to the states, the couple was “blessed” by the Rev. Leo McKernan, St. Monica’s Parish, West Wyoming, and a wedding brunch was held at Fox Hill Country Club.
They currently reside in Cobble Hill, N.Y.
