Alison Carr and Ryan Arcangeli were united in the sacrament of marriage Saturday, June 15, 2013, in Saint Jude Parish of Mountain Top by the Rev. Gerald W. Shantillo.


The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Mary Carr, Sugar Notch. She is the granddaughter of Donald and Elizabeth Williams, Pittston, and the late Henry and Mary Carr, Sugar Notch.


The groom is the son of Michael and Patricia Arcangeli, Dallas. He is the grandson of the late Margaret and Harold “Buzz” Dailey, Kingston, and the late John and Emma Arcangeli, Luzerne.


The bride was given away in marriage by her father. She chose her best friend, Tara Slusser, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Maria Arcangeli, sister of the groom; Sarah Arnone, cousin of the bride; and Sara Lentowski, Christina Glenn, Shannon McCann, Rachel Stephenson and Carolyn Fitzhenry, friends of the bride.


The groom chose his best friends, Mark Rossick and John Scalzo, as his best men. Groomsmen were Joseph Carr Jr., brother of the bride, and Kyle Kutney, Christopher Hughes, Tom Fetchko, Jason Prushinski, Joel Heintzelmen and John Sharkus, friends of the groom. Ring bearer was Dylan Bevan, son of Jeff and Jennifer Bevan, friends of the bride and groom.


Scriptural readings were given by Jessica Souchick, friend of the bride, and Annette Fetchko, friend of the bride and groom. Offertory gifts were presented by Loraine Savakinas, godmother of the groom, and Ona Williams, godmother of the bride. The music for the wedding ceremony was performed by Mary Costigan with featured vocalist Alyssa Golden.


The bride was honored at a display shower hosted by the mother of the bride and groom and her bridesmaids at Sand Springs Country Club, Drums. A rehearsal dinner was given by the parents of the groom at Cavanaugh’s Grille, Mountain Top. An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at The Highlands at Newberry Estates, Dallas.


The bride is a 2005 graduate of Hanover Area High School and a graduate of East Stroudsburg University and Wilkes University with a master’s degree in education. She is employed as a health and physical educator by the Crestwood School District.


The groom is a 2005 graduate of Lake-Lehman High School and a graduate of King’s College and Wilkes University with a master’s degree in education. He is employed as a history teacher by the Crestwood School District.


The couple honeymooned to Rivera Maya, Mexico. They reside in Mountain Top.
