Lisa Marie Blasius and Kyle John Flynn were united in marriage on Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, at Magen’s Bay Beach, Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, while on a cruise of the Eastern Caribbean with family and friends. The Rev. William Arnet officiated at the 10 a.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey S. Blasius, West Cameron, Shamokin, Pennsylvania. She is the granddaughter of Edward and Ruthann Faust, Coal Township, Pennsylvania; the late John P. Blasius; and the late Joseph and Veronica Smith.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Flynn, Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania. He is the grandson of Gerald and Dorothy Flynn, Plymouth, Pennsylvania, and the late James and Theresa Lyons.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her friend Dezerae Sowersby, Shamokin, Pennsylvania, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride and included Corin Stansfield, Sunbury, Pennsylvania; Andrea Brezgel, Herndon, Pennsylvania; and Amanda Riehl, Trevorton, Pennsylvania.
Ring bearer was Kale LeVan, Herndon, Pennsylvania, friend of the bride. The groom’s brother, Christopher Flynn, Hunlock Creek, Pennsylvania, served as best man. Groomsmen included John P. Blasius, York, Pennsylvania, brother of the bride, and Josh Stansfield, Sunbury, Pennsylvania, friend of the bride and groom.
A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at Magen’s Bay Beach.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of Line Mountain High School and a 2011 graduate of Luzerne County Community College with an associate’s degree in interior design. She is employed by The Lamp Factory, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, as an assistant manager.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and a 2010 IBEW apprentice graduate. He is a member of IBEW Local 163. He is employed by Apollo Group Inc., Kingston, Pennsylvania, as an electrician.
The couple resides in Shavertown, Pennsylvania.
