Jennifer Rose Misunas and Michael Buckwash were united in marriage on May 23, 2014, officiated by the Rev. Patrick Sullivan at the Chapel of Christ the King in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
The bride is the daughter of John and Gerri Misunas, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. She is the granddaughter of Leo Yurek and the late Mary Yurek, Wyoming, Pennsylvania, and the late Peter and Dorothy Misunas, Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
The groom is the son of Jeffrey and Mercedes Buckwash, Coal Township, Pennsylvania. He is the grandson of Rita Buckwash and the late Joseph Buckwash, Kulpmont, Pennsylvania, and Theodore and Florence Malinoski, Shamokin, Pennsylvania.
The bride chose her sister, Dr. Jacqueline Misunas, as her maid of honor. Her bridesmaids were Lauren Breen, Megan Carducci, Alison Grant and Leah Rother.
The groom chose his friend, Blake Bonser, as his best man. His groomsmen were Jeffrey Buckwash, Donald Houseknecht, Michael Kane, Gary Lambert and Michael Rowe.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Bishop Hoban High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree from King’s College. She earned her master’s degree in counseling from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Psychology degree from Marywood University. Jen is currently a part-time children’s therapist at Friendship House in Scranton.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Coal Township, Pennsylvania. He earned his bachelor’s degree from King’s College. Michael is a certified public accountant and currently works at Keystone Automotive Operations, Inc. as a business analytics and strategic pricing manager.
