Kara Ann Chacko and Jeffrey Carl Hodorowski were united in the sacrament of marriage in a double-ring ceremony on May 5, 2012, in a beachfront ceremony in Myrtle Beach, S.C., by the Rev. Benjy Simmons.


The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Rebecca Chacko, Forty Fort. She is the granddaughter of the late John and Elizabeth Chacko and the late Edward and Ann Marie Price.


The groom is the son of Carl Hodorowski, Courtdale, and Cindy Fisher, Edwardsville. He is the grandson of the late Anthony and Stella Hodorowski; Lois Johnson, Courtdale; and Harry Johnson, Kingston.


The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She chose her sister, Karla Chacko, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kenley Keiper, sister of the bride, and Krista Kutney and Tara Harrison, friends of the bride.


The groom chose his brother, Eric Hodorowski, as best man. Groomsmen were Gary Neupauer and Louis Belgio, friends of the groom, and Eric Keiper, brother-in-law of the bride.


Music was provided by Donnie Walker, acoustic guitarist, and a reading was given by Karla Chacko. The ceremony included a unity sand ceremony by the bride, the groom, the mother of the bride and mother of the groom. The greeter was John Sosnoski, friend of the bride and groom.


The bride was honored with a brunch bridal shower hosted by the mother of the bride, maid of honor and bridesmaids at Andy’s River Road Diner, Plains Township. A rehearsal dinner was given by the parents of the groom at the Santa Maria Restaurant at The Caravelle Resort, Myrtle Beach, S.C. Following the ceremony, an intimate cocktail hour and reception were hosted by the parents of the bride at St. John’s Inn at The Caravelle Resort, Myrtle Beach, S.C. A celebratory brunch was also given by the parents of the bride the next day in honor of the newlyweds. A second wedding reception was hosted by the parents of the bride in June at the Swoyersville American Legion Pavilion, Swoyersville. In addition to dinner, drinks and dancing, it featured a slide show with pictures of the newlyweds’ courtship as well as footage of their beachfront ceremony.


The bride is a 2000 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and a 2004 graduate of King’s College, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing. She is employed as marketing/event manager at her family’s business, Chacko’s Family Bowling Center, Wilkes-Barre.


The groom is a 1999 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and a 2003 graduate of Luzerne County Community College, where he earned his associate’s degree in business administration. He is employed as regional sales manager at Lemon-X Corporation, New York.


The couple honeymooned in Myrtle Beach, S.C. They reside in Swoyersville with their dog, Timmy.
