Cassandra Knorek and Matthew William Davis were united in marriage on June 15, 2013, at St. Mary’s Church, Wapwallopen, by the Rev. Joseph J. Evanko.
The bride is the daughter of Carl and Margaret Knorek, Mountain Top. She is the granddaughter of Carl and Bernadine Knorek, Nanticoke, and Halina Bilicka, Poland.
The groom is the son of Robert and Melanie Davis, Wapwallopen. He is the grandson of the late William and Charlotte Davis, Wapwallopen, and the late George and Stella Belleba, Westland, Mich.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose her sister, Allison Knorek, as maid of honor and the groom’s sister, Courtney Muendlein, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley Martin, Amy Tycenski and Alexandrea White. Jasmine Carr was the flower girl.
The groom chose his best friend, Brad Deets, as best man. Groomsmen were Donald Muendlein, brother-in-law of the groom, and Billy Bretz, Jim Daniels and Frank Mylet. Jim Donnini III was the ring bearer.
Following the ceremony, an evening cocktail hour and reception were held at Carmen’s Country Inn and Gardens, Drums, Pa.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Crestwood High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood and elementary education from Bloomsburg University in 2009. She is employed by Evergreen BIC.
The groom is a 2006 graduate of Crestwood High School. He is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in biology. He is employed by Bayada Home Health Care.
The couple honeymooned on a cruise on the Mediterranean Sea. They reside in Wilkes-Barre.
