Erica Jane Kaminski and Christopher Waine Walker were united in marriage on Oct. 12, 2012, at Firwood United Methodist Church in Wilkes-Barre. The Rev. Lee Gangaware, uncle of the bride, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of James and Barbara Kaminski, Hanover Township. She is the granddaughter of Marion Gangaware and the late Selden Gangaware, of Wapwallopen, and the late Stephen and Catherine Kaminski of Hanover Township.
The groom is the son of Amanda and Morris Smith of Kingston, and Robert Walker of Paoli, Ind. He is the grandson of Margo Duvall of Long Boat Key, Fla. and the late Bruce Sermonis of Brandenburg, Ky., and the late Robert and Edna Walker of Ekron, Ky.
The bride chose her sister, Andrea Kaminski, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ericka Walker, sister of the groom, Kylene Frick, friend of the bride, and Kelly Dowd, friend of the bride.
The groom chose his son, Joshua Walker, as his best man. Groomsmen were Morris Smith, stepfather of the groom, Scott Sermonis, uncle of the groom, and Timothy Viti, now brother-in-law of the happy couple.
Scripture readings were read by Jennifer Myers and Amanda Lynn Sermonis. Ceremony music was preformed by Karen Alunni, vocalist, and Scott Coates, organist.
An evening cocktail hour, followed by a reception at R&D Memories, was given by parents of the bride. The wedding rehearsal was hosted by the groom’s mother and stepfather at Grotto Pizza. The bride was honored with a bridal shower given by mothers of the bride and groom, and her bridesmaids at the Anthracite Café.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Hanover Area High School. She graduated from Millersville University in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. She is employed by Childrens Behavioral Health Services Inc.
The groom is a 1993 high school graduate of West Side Tech. He is employed by Green Valley Landscaping.
The couple honeymooned in New England and reside in Kingston.
