Shannon Elizabeth Doyle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Doyle Sr., Wilkes-Barre, and Nathan Chris Tiedeken, son of Dr. and Mrs. Patrick Tiedeken, Lancaster, were married on Dec. 8, 2012, in St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre, by the Rite Rev. Monsignor Rauscher.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a custom-designed silk duchess satin dropped-waist ball gown embellished with Swarovski crystal beading, a sheer silk illusion bateau neckline and sleeve, and a pleated peplum inscribed with the bride’s maiden and married monograms.
The bride was attended by her cousin, Catherine Daniel, as maid of honor, along with the groom’s sisters, Cara and Krista Tiedeken; sisters-in-law of the bride, Sarah, Anna and Colleen Doyle; cousins, Mary Theresa and Elyse Mahfoud and Lindsay Shiner, and friend of the bride, Christina Lamsback as bridesmaids.
The best man was Nolan Tiedeken, brother of the groom,with groomsmen Patrick, Kevin and Brian Doyle, brothers of the bride, and Michael Musso, Brian Lamsback, Christopher Botti, Michael Lyon, Ryan Werner and Philip Consuegra, friends of the groom.
Skytop Lodge in the Poconos was the setting for the Christmas-themed wedding. Those who lodged at Skytop continued the festivities in the Skytop Tap Room with pizza and drinks. A post wedding brunch was held in the Skytop Dining Room on Sunday morning. On Friday evening, a rehearsal dinner, hosted by the parents of the groom, took place at the Westmoreland Club, Wilkes-Barre.
In October 2012, Shannon was hosted at a bridal shower held at the Westmoreland Club that followed a “Shannon said, Yes to the Dress” theme.
The bride is a summa cum laude graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and Jefferson Medical College earning her Doctor of Medicine. She is employed by the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital as a pediatric resident.
The groom is summa cum laude graduate of Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and Doctorate of Medicine degree from Temple School of Medicine. He is an orthopaedic surgical resident at the Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pa.
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon on the beautiful island of Turks and Caicos. They reside in the Philadelphia area.
