Scranton/Wilkes-Barre won its fourth straight and for the 12th time in its last 16 with a 6-2 win over Lehigh Valley on Sunday afternoon at PNC Field.


RailRiders at the plate: They hit three home runs – back-to-back solo shots by Addison Maruszak and Corey Patterson in the second inning and a three-run blast by Randy Ruiz.


RailRiders on the mound: David Huff earned his first RailRider victory this season and his fourth overall going six innings allowing just one run on seven hits and whiffed six. Dellin Betances threw two scoreless frames fanning five in relief. Josh Spence tossed the ninth when he gave up one run, three hits and a walk.


The IronRail: The RailRiders and IronPigs started the IronRail Series this season between the two close rivals. The winner of the season series will receive the inaugural trophy among other perks. After Sunday’s game the series is now tied at 3-3.

Captain RailRider: Future Hall of Famer Derek Jeter went 1-for-2 with a single, a run scored and two walks as his rehab appearance continued. He is scheduled to play at shortstop in tonight’s game at PNC Field.


Tickets Available: If you still haven’t got to PNC Field to see perennial all-star and Yankees captain Derek Jeter, there’s an opportunity for tonight’s game as plenty of tickets remain.


On Deck: The nine-game homestand for SWB continues through Friday. The Rochester series wraps up Wednesday before Syracuse comes to town for a two-game set.
