Alan E. Kornish, 74, of Exeter, died Thursday, January 6, 2011, at home.

Born September 28, 1936, in Scranton, he was a son of the late Alex and Helma Trager Kornish.

He was a graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a degree in teaching. Alan’s lifelong career was in broadcasting and was formerly employed by Susquehanna Broadcasting “WARM” radio.

Alan was a kind and caring father who loved family vacations. He loved fishing the Susquehanna River with his son and grandsons. Alan made friends easily and had a great sense of humor. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Timothy and Wilber.

Surviving are his wife of 47 years, formerly Marie Pascucci; children, Brenda Goodnough, Mark Kornish, and Carrie Skrepenak; grandchildren, Joey and Cory Heddings, Christian, Gregory and Marie Skrepenak.

Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Yeosock Funeral Home, 40 S. Main St., Plains Township, with the Rev. Jeff Klansek officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday.
