Lorraine D. Corbo, 24, of Long Pond, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in East Stroudsburg, Pa., she was a daughter of John J. Corbo, of Long Pond, and Deborah (Giordano) Goodman of Nanticoke.

A graduate of Pocono Mountain High School, she had worked as a sales person for two years.

Lorraine was an avid artist who wrote wonderful poetry. She also had a love for animals.

She belonged to the rehab program, Choices, in Kingston where she was an inspiration to other people in her group.

She was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her stepmother, Carol Corbo, of Long Pond; her stepfather, David Goodman, of Nanticoke; a sister, Lisa, of Kresgeville, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Angela Corbo, of Long Pond; six stepsisters, Erin Sheridan, of Mountainhome, Pa.; Jessica Grouss, of Toms River, N.J.; Mallory Goodman, of East Stroudsburg; Megan Wohlberg, of Princeton, N.J.; Crista Meringer, of Sciota, Pa., and Tricia Hackett, South Carolina; a stepbrother, William Sheridan, of Lansdale, Pa.; as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Kresge Funeral Home, Route 209, Brodheadsville, Pa. Cremation will have taken place in the H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
