Students could tell Skrepenak a thing or two about government

The fact that Luzerne County Commissioner Greg Skrepenak thinks he’s qualified to explain county government to high school kids is breathtaking.

Thanks to this guy’s “leadership,” county taxpayers have been subjected to some of the worst examples of bumbling incompetence and arrogance in recent memory.

Greg Skrepenak’s better choice for Student Government Day would have been to allow one of the students to explain to him how county government is supposed to work.

Skrepenak was adamantly opposed to the Home Rule Charter proposed a few years ago and, judging from his style of “leadership,” I am not surprised. The charter, as proposed, was not dictator-friendly.

The current state of Luzerne County government is a joke, but it’s not funny.
