West Pittston Library and West Pittston Historical Society are planning a New York City holiday bus trip fundraiser.
Pack your hat, gloves and holiday spirit for a day trip to New York City on Thursday, December 10. For $25 enjoy a relaxing Martz bus ride to the city where you can join a historic church group tour, or choose from self-guided tours for architect enthusiasts, museum go-ers and shoppers. Of course, you can always grab a map and do your own thing.
A one-day bus trip to New York City will be held on Saturday, November 21, to raise money for breast cancer research. The bus will depart from Wegman’s in Wilkes-Barre at 7:30 a.m. and will leave New York around 7:30 p.m. Participants will be free to schedule and arrange their own activities for that day. Tickets are $30. A fundraising auction will be held on the bus.
On Saturday, November 21 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. there will be a craft and gifts show benefiting the family of Pennsylvania State Trooper Josh Miller who was killed in the line of duty earlier this year. It will be at the Italian American Citizen’s Club, 120 Oak Street, Pittston Township. Come enjoy holiday shopping with vendors including crafts, gourmet foods, home dcor and more.
Each morning Brian Cawley walks a mile from his home to the Greater Pittston YMCA. He greats staff and members with a bright smile as he quietly cleans the Fitness Center at the Pittston organization.
The next meeting to continue plans for St. John the Evangelist Class of 1960 50th anniversary reunion will be held on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:00 p.m. at Tony’s Pizzeria, City Line Plaza, Pittston.
