Educating children on the importance of bicycle safety will be the focus of the Laflin Borough Police Department’s first annual Bicycle Rodeo for kids. On Saturday October 17, the Laflin Police along with the Pennsylvania Traffic Injury Prevention Project (PA TIPP) will hold its Bicycle Rodeo in the Borough Building parking lot, located at 47 Laflin Road, Laflin. The Rodeo will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m.
There will be bicycle and helmet safety inspections and a safety skills course for children to test their ability. The Laflin Police will also gather information to register children’s bicycles.
Children must be accompanied by an adult and bring, their bicycle, and their bicycle helmet. PA Law requires all children under 12 to wear an approved bike helmet.
For more information call the Laflin Police at 570-654-3322.
