Pittston Hospital Alumni fall meeting set

The Pittston Hospital Alumni Association will hold a meeting on Thursday, October 16, at 6:00 p.m. All alumni are welcome to attend. For reservations call Pat Manganiello at 654-8272 or Mary Hanczyc at 947-9120.

This fall meeting will be held at Colarusso’s La Palazzo on Route 11 in Moosic. There will be a cash bar from 6 to 6:30 p.m. followed by a dinner meeting with guest speaker Bill Bachman.

Bachman is the writer, director and co-producer of the historic documentary, "Frances Slocum: Child of Two Americas".

He is a communications instructor at Penn State, Wilkes-Barre, where he has taught since 1983. He has held a variety of communication positions having served as Director of Communications for the Redevelopment Authority of Wilkes-Barre in the aftermath of tropical storm Agnes in 1972 and as Senior Director of Corporate Communications for Blue Cross.
