Pennsylvania State Constables that are members of the Luzerne County Constables Association Chapter 40 will meet Sunday, November 16 at 3:30 p.m., at Holy Saviour Church Social Hall, Hillard St., in the East End section of Wilkes-Barre.
The executive board will meet at 3 p.m. followed by the regular meeting. Col. Joe Walters, commander of the chapter, will brief all constables present on the latest developments in constable law changes and recent updates that will effect all constables. Also expected to be discussed at the meeting will be information on training classes for all new constables who must attend mandatory basic training for state certification under Act 44, the recent purchase of new protective (bullet proof) vests purchased from corporate donations and membership in the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) will also be discussed.
