The Cosmopolitan Seniors next meeting will take place at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, in St. Cecelia’s parish center. Vic Malinowski will preside.
Fifty seven members enjoyed a special luncheon preceding our last meeting. Vice President Joe Kleback opened with a prayer, pledge of allegiance, and a patriotic song. Terri Mislan read the minutes and Amy Alpaugh the Treasurers report. A special raffle was conducted with ceramic holiday dishes awarded to Dolores Bubblo and Ann Paluski. Joe Kleback won a basket of lottery tickets, and the fall season wreath winner was Irene Parini. Plans were announced for the annual Christmas party for Tuesday, December 1, at 12 p.m. Reservations may be made with Chairperson Marie Cheskiewicz at the next meetings. Bingo was played and door prizes awarded to Vern Cardillo, Johanna Malinowski, Tony Matreselva, Theresa Menhennett and Bernie Serbin. Cheryl Pipher won the Bingo jackpot.
Cosmopolitan Seniors travel coordinator Johanna is planning a trip to Mount Airy Casino in November and is accepting reservations for the Christmas show at Mount Haven Resort on Sunday, December 13. A breakfast buffet will be served upon arrival, followed by entertainment, 4 hour open bar and a dinner buffet before departure.
