CD sales to benefit children

Father Jim Paisley, pastor of Saint Therese’s Church in Shavertown and former pastor of Saint Maria Goretti Church in Laflin, has released his first solo album, “My Grown up Christmas Wish.” The sale of the CD will benefit Wyoming Valley Children’s Association, a local nonprofit agency that provides physical, occupational and speech therapy to children with developmental disabilities and preschool education to children of all abilities.

The CD, comprised of songs and reflections for Christmas, is available for $12 at all locations of Joe Nardone’s Gallery of Sound, Sunshine Market in Plains, Barnes & Noble (Arena Hub Plaza, Wilkes-Barre), The Guild store in Scranton or by calling St. Therese’s Church at 696-1144 or Wyoming Valley Children’s Association at 714-1246.

Songs include “Believe” from “Polar Express,” “Breath of Heaven” by Amy Grant, “A Baby Changes Everything” by Faith Hill, “Joseph’s Lullaby,” “One Bright Star” and more.

Paisley is cofounder of Sweet Charity, a theatrical singing group that has raised and donated more than $300,000 to seriously ill children in northeastern Pennsylvania since 1994.
