Cwikla’s Bakery bakes cupcakes in the ‘name of life’

Jan and Carl Cwikla, owners of Cwikla’s Bakery in Avoca, baked cupcakes in the “name of life” for the National Pro-Life Cupcake Day held at the University of Scranton and Scranton Prep. Cupcakes for Life exists to remind students that, due to abortion, one in three children will never celebrate their first birthday or enjoy something as simple as a cupcake.

The idea behind www.cupcakesforlife.com is to spread the terrible truth about the assault on the unborn in a thoughtful, unique and kind way.

Jan and Carl baked and decorated 800 cupcakes with unique pro-life slogans. The Pro-Life Club members at Scranton Prep handed the cupcakes out to the student body during lunch. The Students for Life at the University of Scranton will donate their proceeds to Sr. Anna and her pregnancy center at St. Joseph’s Center.
