Danny Argo, talented local vocalist and Pittston City Councilman, will entertain on the opening day of the Pittston Farmer’s Market on Tuesday, July 14 at 11 a.m. The market is held on the Robert Conroy Sr. Tomato Festival Lot on South Main Street.

Danny Argo, a well known local entertainer for the past 40-plus years, will perform at the opening of the Pittston Farmer’s Market on July 14. Argo is also a Pittston City councilman.
Danny began his music career as a young man in high school with the formation of a rock and roll band. He has performed as a vocalist and guitarist throughout the valley and is well known for his style of popular standard songs and Italian American love ballads.
The Farmer’s Market a yearly event anticipated and popular with area residents will be serviced by Golomb’s Farm and Greenhouse, Braces Orchard, Dymond’s Farm, Paul Pauling’s Plums, Andies Angel Potato Pancakes, Cedar Spring Amish Baked Goods and new to the market is Hillside Farms selling ice-cream and ices.
New vendors are welcome. Rental of a 14-ft frontage space is $100 for the season which will continue until the middle of November. Charitable and civic organizations are welcome to participate free of charge.
Parking is available on the Pittston Tomato Festival lot adjacent to the Pittston Fire House. Vouchers distributed by the PA Department of Agriculture will be accepted by the vendors.
A mini flea market will be added at $10 per table that is provided by the participants.
