Durkin elected president as Chamber reorganizes

The Re-organizational Meeting of the Board of Directors of the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce was held at Fox Hill Country Club, Exeter.

At that time, Joseph Durkin was elected to serve as president of the Chamber. Other officers elected to serve a one-year term were: 1st Vice-President – Joseph Milazzo; 2nd Vice-President – Charles A. Adonizio III; 3rd Vice-President – Joseph Burke, Esq.; Treasurer – Jerry A. Champi; Administrative Assistant – Shirley Bartos and Executive Vice-President – Rosemary Dessoye.

The following new directors were installed for a two-year term: Phyllis Brandwene, Thomas Cooney, Blaise Alan Dente CCC, Sam J. Falcone Jr. Esq., William Goldsworthy, Richard Kazmerick, Georgia Liberatori, Girard J. Mecadon Esq., Thomas Melone CPA, Patrick Mitchell, Senator Raphael Musto, Michael Pacyna, David Puz, Ann Sadusky and Robert Tamburro.

Also serving on the Board is: Nolan Ayres, Patrick Barrett, Frank Bartoli, Rep. Michael Carroll, Anna Cervenak, Rose Ferentino Grimes, Johnny J. Joyce, Mayor Joseph Keating, Brian Leffler, James Powers, Janet Rosenbaum, Ross Scarantino PhD., Lewis Sebia Esq., Rosalie Strasser and Ronald Wisniewski. Michael Vough Esq. serves as counsel to the Chamber.

President Durkin expressed his gratitude to the retiring Board Members. Directors included: Thomas Amico, Dottie Boughton, Alex E. Brogna, Thomas Bubul, Matthew DePrimo, Marilyn Gubbiotti, Patrick Judge, Charles Morgan CPA, Larry Morgan, Rep. Phyllis Mundy, Mark Nobile, Barbara Pirrella-Sico, Patrick W. Sammon, Joseph F. Saporito Jr. Esq. and Patricia F. Stella.
