Get your free smoke detectors

The Pittston City Fire Department and other area departments are distributing free smoke detectors to local residents. Residents can contact their local departments.

In Pittston residents can call 655-6663 to arrange to pick up a detector. Fire Chief Jim Rooney said residents who need help with installation can make an appointment to have a detector installed by the department.
