Healey home before deployment

Eugene John Healey II, grandson of Evelyn and the late Jack Healey of Suscon, and Robert and the late Jean Rouse of Avoca, will be home visiting family and friends for two weeks before leaving for his third deployment to southwest Asia at the end of July.

SRA Eugene John Healey II receives the High Flyer Award.

SRA Healey is a native of Avoca and 2005 graduate of Pittston Area High School. He has been enlisted in the USAF for nearly 4 years and has been deployed twice within the last 18 months totaling 368 days.

He was recently promoted to an E-4, Senior Airman within the United States Air Force.

SRA Healey is the crew chief for the B-1 Lancer, in the 37th Air Maintenance Unit (AMU) 28th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron (AMXS) stationed at Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota.

On his most recent deployment he was awarded the High Flyer Award three out of the six months of his tour. The High Flyer Award is given to the crew of the jet with the best statistics for that month. It takes pride, hard work, and dedication to your crew and jet to attain this award which SRA Healey had displayed while on duty.
