Several local winemakers attended Corrado’s 11th annual amateur winemakers contest held in Garfield, New Jersey, in January. The event is sponsored by the Corrado family, who have been supplying winemakers with equipment, grapes, and knowledge for three generations. In addition to the homemade wine entries, there are numerous wineries pouring samples, as well as numerous food vendors catering to every taste.

Local winemakers have been attending and competing in this contest for the past 8 years. The contest features wines in many categories and has hundreds of entries.

Local winemakers fared well again, with numerous medals won in multiple categories, again demonstrating the skill, knowledge, and passion of our resident wine makers.

This year a special award was presented to Sandy Gubbiotti for his dedication, and support to local winemakers.
