It isn’t often you see Superman walking along a street in Greater Pittston. That’s why Marilyn Zorgo, of Harding, just had to stop and find out what was going on.

George Zorgo, owner of Zorgo Printing, and Allen Mullins, who, dressed as Superman, is walking 5000 miles for the cause of homeless veterans, stop by the Sunday Dispatch office.

Allen Mullins, dressed as Superman and carrying an American flag, was glad to explain.
Mullins, of Dalton, Georgia, said he was on his way to New York City to complete a 5000 mile walk for the cause of homeless veterans in the United States. By raising awareness of this cause, he hopes to establish a foundation to help homeless vets.
Not a veteran himself, Mullins, 27, said, like Superman, he is looking to right a wrong. He began his trek last January.
Himself homeless, Mullins does not seek donations of money along the way but will accept offers of food or beverages. He rarely accepts a ride and usually sleeps in a sleeping bag. After completing his journey to New York City, he said he continues to continue walking across America for the next 10 years.
George Zorgo, Marilyn’s husband who owns and operates Zorgo Printing in Pittston, showed Mullins around the area while he was here. Mullins said because he is so close to his destination of New York City he was able to spend a little extra time in Greater Pittston.
