Old Forge High Class of 1958 reunites on 50th anniversary

The Old Forge class of 1958 held their reunion the weekend of August 22 through 24. The activities began Friday evening with a Garden Cocktail Party hosted by classmate Barbara Talerico Falcone and husband Angelo at their home in Oakwood Park, Laflin. Decorations of Blue and Gold were in keeping with the school colors. Windfall provided music for dancing.

On Saturday a dinner dance was held at the Radisson Hotel in Scranton. Attending classmates and guests were treated to a Power Point Presentation of photos taken during junior and senior years. The presentation was prepared by John Samony, Rita Propersi and John Pikulski. A memorial service led by classmate Sister Grace Scandale was held with the lighting of a candle for each deceased member of the class. Table decorations prepared by committee members were reminiscent of the Fifty’s. Music for the evening was provided by Disc Jockey Joe Kruz.

Classmates attending received a group photo of the evening, a bound directory of current contact information of the class, a D.V.D. of the Power Point presentation and a button with their class picture image. The activities concluded with a Sunday brunch held at Amadeo’s Restaurant in Old Forge.

The committee included, John Pikulski, class president; Rita Propersi, coordinator; Janet Castellani Stallone, local chairperson; James Antonio, class treasurer; Ann Rincavage Kurzweil, Barbara Talerico Falcone, Larry Semenza and Frank Wanat.
