Several local residents got their first experience of being on the Susquehanna River rather than driving over it on Saturday, July 10, when the West Pittston Library hosted a kayak trip on the river as a fund raiser. Biologist Dr. Garrett Barr, from King’s College Biology & Environmental Program, hosted the tour along with his wife, Anne Bramlett Barr, librarian. The three-hour trip began at the Harding boat launch and ended in Wyoming.
