Sem to host Cottle Benefit Concert

Members of the Wyoming Seminary Performing Arts Department and Sem students will honor a friend and colleague with a special benefit performance on Sunday, November 15 at 2 p.m.

The performance, titled "When Words Fail, Music Speaks," is open to the public and will be held at the Great Hall of Wyoming Seminary, 228 Wyoming Avenue, Kingston, just north of Kingston Corners. A $10 minimum donation is requested at the door.

The concert is presented in honor of Donna Cottle, a Sem colleague and parent, who is battling cancer.

Performers include noted area musicians Sophie Till, violin, and Christiane Appenheimer-Vaida, cello; soprano and voice teacher Elizabeth Duhr; the Sem Madrigal Singers; several instrumental ensembles; and the Sem Lower School Select Chorus. The musicians will present a variety of classical and contemporary works.

The event will include a raffle and a silent auction after the performance. All proceeds will benefit the Cottle family.

For more information, or to make contributions to the Cottle family, call Gayle Sekel at 270-2167.
