Nine St. Lucy Filipini nuns celebrated their Golden Jubilee on October 10, including Pittston native, Sr. Josephine Palmeri, daughter of the late Tony (Palma) and Josephine Manganaro Palmeri.

Joining in the celebration, left to right cousin Marian Palmeri, Sr. Josephine, cousin Louis Palmeri and brother-in-law Brian Lonergan.

In the garden at Villa Walsh, left to right Sr. Jo’s niece, Lynn Lonergan; Sr. Josephine; childhood friend Cathy Ricotta-Turonis; cousin Jean Palmeri-Zezza; cousin Joan Palmeri-Moss and cousin Barbara Pirrella-Sico.
Several local families travel to Villa Walsh Academy in Morristown, New Jersey, to honor Sr. Josephine.
